ok, time to vent. Which high draft picks have been the biggest letdown? I'm talking about guys you drafted high, thinking they would be one of your rocks...only to end up dragging your team down. Mine: Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera. V-Mart .322 average is nice, but the lack of power and run production is startling. 0 HR, 14 RBI, 9 R. Unacceptable for the pre-season consensus #1 catcher. and M-Cab...sure not looking like a 1st round pick. I expect him to get better as the season goes along, but in my H2H league, he has had weekly totals of 11, 11 and 8. Not good enough. This guy has 40 HR/130 RBI potential, but just isn't driving in runs with RISP. Maybe its the adjustment of switching leagues, but this guy is too good a hitter to post such mediocre numbers.

I didn't draft him high by any means, but was expecting big things from Joe Borowski, based on his 45 saves last year.  It's a little dissapointing to know I dropped him flat out after a poor start and then an injury.

I think Miguel Cabrera and the Tigers will turn it around, and have some MVP type numbers for most of the year.  It just doesn't seem possible for a lineup that contains Curtis Granderson, Placido Polanco, Miguel Cabrera, Gary Sheffield, Ivan Rodriguez to struggle for too long.

Cano wasn't drafted all that early by me, but has been horrendous until just recently.  I unloaded Hardy, who I got very late for S. Drew.  I'm hoping he's the real deal. Sizemore hasn't been bad, but kind of bums me out.  He has had a lingering injury, but appears to be turning it around.   I still can't believe how bad Howard and Fielder have been.  Not on my team, but I'm sure they will turn it around eventually.

how about just making a dumb @$$ move in general and a vent...... try drafting v-mart in a roto league in round 4 then drafting Geovany Soto in round 23 as a back up.... well my league is kind of short meaning not many hitting bench spots(or shouldn't be and should have more pitchers, based on innings and games played)...... so with v-mart already and no one into trading before the season starts, i dropped soto for a extra pitcher..... i can't even remember who it was let alone think they are still on my team.....

vent- Justin Verlander first sp i took, hated the move right after i made it...... i never draft starting pitchers before round 10 but a guy took some of my usual suspects way early(5-6) and i felt pressure to get in on the run...... round 7 absolute garbage...... my next pitcher round 12 liriano not good 13 gallardo get well, injury.......16 Matt Cain inconsistant as they come 19 Phil Hughes garbage...... thank goodness for free agent acquires Ervin Santana Zack Greinke Edinson Volquez Jair Jurrjens...... and my only drafted pitcher doing worth anything Ben Sheets or my pitching staff would be the league worst.....

That Geovany Soto story is awful, sorry about that.  In a 2 keeper leauge, I kept Miguel Cabrera, so I'm also looking for him to get like his old self.  No reason to think it won't happen since he came into the league hitting at 19 years old.  I drafted Troy Tulowitzki in the 1st round in that league thinking I had my keeper solidified for the next 10 years -- whoops!

Vlad, Wells, Beltran, and Delmon Young a.k.a. my outfield. I would also throw Hardy and Gallardo on that list as well.

I have the misfortune od having Cano (hopefully breaking out.), Hafner (washed up in my opinion) and Brett Myers.

OPINION:

Offering: Saltamacchia, Hafner, Hermida and Scherzer                                                      For: Alex Rios and BJ Upton

All players are reserve.

My lineup:

C Soto. 1st: Swisher 2nd: Cano 3rd: Youkilis SS: Tejada OF: Burrell, Hamilton, Quentin U: Soriano   My regular 3rd is Figgins so he is in when back andYouk to 1st and Swish on the bench
