Yes, I know why...First San Antonio is an older team, second the NBA is giving them a chance to recover, and third a N.O. sale is harder to present to the rest of the NBA world. I'm from San Antonio, and I can tell you that there is no way S.A. has a chance if this game is played on Saturday, some chance if played on Sunday, and their chances have dramaticly improved having the game on Monday... 4 days rest and they came out and creamed PHX. If there is justice in the NBA for the Spurs it's the timing of this game. The NBA has never liked the Spurs, due to the small market and half court play, so maybe they have earned the rest or the NBA willl face a N.O./Laker series, which doesn't sale like a Spurs/Laker series. I've been a Spurs fan since forever and I can tell you that we were never going to win an NBA Championship without 2 No.1 picks....(Robinson & Duncan). So, once this happened, then history was changed! Much like the Joe Montana story in SF. Now, who will win?...The best Coach in the NBA is not Jackson in LA, but Popivich in SA. Jackson will probably be the better coach overalll, however he is no longer in his prime. "Pop" knows how to Coach his players and to manage the game. He has already played this game in his mind and has had 4 days to construct his plan. Remember, the Spurs have won 3 of the last 4 since implementing his adjustments after losing 2 in N.O. Ask Jimmy Johnson, "We won the game (Super Bowl) before it was even played. I'm not saying the Spurs will win 100%, but the odds are against N.O., as there are too many things going against them, inexperience, a soft game, over-confidence, and a dangerous opponent with plenty of rest and preperation.
