I am in a 16 team 5 X 5 league I just lost my 1st baseman N. Johnson what should I do. I have a couple of trade offers.

Trade 1
I give up S. Olsen (SP Flo.)
I get L. Overbay (1B Tor.)

Trade 2
I give up S.Olsen (SP Flo.) and E. Longoria (3B TB)
I Get C. Guillen (1B Det.)

Pick up
D. Young (1B Wash.)
D. Barton (1B Oak.)
J. Bowker (1B)

	I would do trade 1...I feel Longoria will have a big second half of the season for the red hot Devil Rays

	Either trade will work and the free agents aren't worth a roster spot. Florida will not continue to win for long and he has only 24 strikeouts in over 54 innings. That will not cut it with the ball being put in play because the Marlins defense was poor last year. I too have longoria in my only league but he's rode the bench since I have Braun and Lowell so I think its a good idea to get rid of Olson and do either trade while he's hot.

	Anyone who is willing to discredit Scott Olsen and say he is "only" worth Lyle Overbay has obviously not seen the kid pitch. Ok, so he doesn't have very many Ks, but Dmitri Young will put up decent numbers and John Bowker ALREADY has better numbers than Lyle Overbay. My point is, it is easier to replace Nick Johnson with one of those three options than it is to replace Scott Olsen with whatever is left on the waiver wire. I'll take Scott Olsen and Dmitri Young or John Bowker any day of the week before I take Lyle Overbay and who is out there?? Sidney Ponson?!?

	I was thinking about picking up D. Young. I do not really like Olsen and want to trade him but I do not like Overbay.

	Im a Mets fan who has seen Olson pitch many times. He is the biggest hot head in the mlb. He won't continue this stretch so don't try to insult me. John Bowker is owned in 4% of leagues and you expect me to tell this guy he's worth a pick up.

	You are forgetting one thing this is a 16 team league Bowker can get alot of use.

	With you Samford. 16 team league makes Olsen definate keep over Lyle and I wouldn't be giving up Langoria either. I voted Barton just because the A's seem determined to keep him in the lineup no matter what. He has to start hitting better. Young was second choice in a basic toss up with Barton. Either would be a stop gap for now. I would keep my eyes open for any guys sneaking in a first base qualification or an injury replacement somewhere.
