How bad are both New York teams? I have been a die hard Yankee fan since the early '70's. I recall going to Shea to watch the Yankees play when the Stadium was being renovated. There have been so many great experiences as a fan of the Yankees, 2008 has been a drag! I realize its early and we've experienced injuries, however the tank looks half empty when compared to stronger years.

So, we are currently assigned to the cellar of the AL East. Baltimore won again last night, the Red Sox are getting it together, The (Devil) Rays are pitching their way to the top, and here my beloved Yankees sit in last.  Who would've thunk it. Although our pitching woes always depended on whether or not Hughes, Kennedy, and the others could become extrodinary, they simply stink.

On the other side of N.Y. are the Mets who appear to be in flux as well. Willie is taking heat like no other manager of late. He and Girardi do not deserve this blame, as they have nothing to do with hitting the ball and pitching between the lines.

There is always football in 4 months.
