this is the worst thing ive seen in so long...

the first half was so deplorable, i had to stop watching for awhile.
with lebron almost purposefully holding his team back in the first quarter, to everyone else on the court refusing to hit a shot, the abysmal officiating.

these games seem to be "first team to do something right wins", then you switch it to the west games and its "first team to screw up loses" just about.

This reminds me of the Knicks-Pistons games of the 90's.  This reminds me why the NCAA's are so much enjoyable than the pro's.  Grind it out basketball encourages me to chennal surf.   The weather channel's radar map has move movement.

Seriously.  A real let-down series.  Lakers-Utah was pretty cool, and the Chris Paul vs. Tony Parker matchup has been awesome.  But what happened to these teams? This should have been an exciting series full of solid fundamental basketball.  I'm let down by the Cs, especially.  This series is like watching a tennis match where whoever gets more serves wins, if you replace "serves" with "home court."

Whoever wins this series is goin to lose to the Pistons I feel. I'm not just saying that because I'm a pistons fan. Both of these teams do no t look at their best right now. The Celtics can't wina  game on the road and the Pistgons could potentially go in and take one from the Celtics in their place. The Cavaliers can't hit a shot either. Also I know its the regular eason but the Pistons beat the Cavaliers 3-1 in the season series.Either way, both teams will be tired from this series and the pistons have been getting a lot of rest. Billups will be back for game one of the ECF so whether its at home or on the road i see them winning.

Easton:

Or....The Pistons have been resting too much and whoever wins tomorrow steals a game in Detroit.  If the Cavaliers win tomorrow, you can bet they have a very good shot at taking a game in Detroit in the first two games.  They have done it before and have the talent to do it again, and that 3-1 record in the regular season?  Yeah it means nothing.  Detroit had a 3-1 edge last season and Cleveland beat them.  And to be fair, Cleveland beat San Antonio twice in the regular season last year, but they got swept in the finals.

Seriously guys, can't it be that these two teams have superb defense and know how to stop each other?  You all say it's boring, but to me a 110-105 game is boring.  I want defense and baskets that matter.

I appreciate a good defensive series.  I used to love the Pistons with Ben Wallace (who looks like he's in pain every time he moves now).  So far though, it's looked more ike sloppy offense than tough defense.  Not to say there isn't some good defense involved here.  Varejau (sp?) has done a great job, and Doc has done a good job throwing a whole team at Lebron.  But there are lots of ugly turnovers and missed open jumpers.  The Cavs I knew had a pretty poor PG situation, but I'm surprised Rondo hasn't opened things up a little better.  I really like his game, and he seemed to really be grooving into one of the better PGs over the season if you had the chance to watch him.

Pistons will be a pretty straight-up matchup against the Cs.  Could go either way.  Against the Cavs, Lebron has been waiting to blow up and it would be only fitting to see him single-handedly beat the Pistons again.  I do think the Cavs are a better team than last year when they beat the Pistons.
