What do you believe to be the biggest issue with the Yankees at this time ? IMO, at this time I think the bats are way too silent. Yes the pitching has been average at best, but if they could score runs early it gives the pitchers a little boost.

Scoring runs and injuries go hand in hand. With ARod and Posada you have to believe they might have scored  few more runs in key situations.

I think that it is a big problem of to many egos on one team and alot of those guys on that team are getting older now and are past their prime e.g. Giambi.

Well, it will be nice to finally get out from underneath Giambi's dead money contract next season!!!

Bring in Texeira...

oh yeah, and i voted for Pitching...anyone who knows me knows that i firmly believe good pitching = wins...there's no other way around it...if your pitching staff is doing well, there isn't as much pressure to score runs therefore on offense everyone can relax...we haven't been able to relax on offense for a long time because our pitching has been mediocre at best...i hate to say it but it's true!!!

we should have gotten Beckett instead of Pavano...we should have traded for Santana...now we're going to pay for it all season long!

oh come on!!! how come pitching be our greatest problem??? we are losing games we used to win like hose 2-1 or 5-3, thats not pitching fault, we have the strongest lineup in all majors (maybe except Tigers) we just cant score runs and our best clutch hitter is injured (without mentioning posada *the one who calls pitches). For me its a problem of not scoring runs, this may be because of our injured hitters but I dont believe so its some lack of luck, our guys have to get hot and we'll be unbeatable!!!!

Go Yankeees!!!!!!!!!!!!!

49ners 4 life anyone with a brain could look back now and say we should have gotten Beckett instead of Pavano. But Pavano was the pitcher with his breakout season before he was picked up by the Yankees not Josh Beckett. And for trading for Santana I disagree, Johan Santana is now 4-2 with a three something ERA which is very solid but Rasner has filled in well and is a big improvement over how Phil Hughes was pitching before he got injured. But when Phil Hughes steps up he will also be a solid starter. Yes Santana would be a great pitcher to have but I would rather have two promising young starters over Johan in hope of having them be aces in two or three years. The years after this look very promising with our rotation shaping up to be Wang, Hughes, Kennedy, Joba ?, C.C Sabathia ? , Yu Darvish ?. Even if one of the three question marks goes to our rotation we will have a solid five starters. And i didn't want to trade one of our best pitching prospects and one of our top outfield prospects for Santana.
