Monroe of Kubel?

I think Monroe has been very deserving of the job as well.  His bat has won us a few games that might have gone otherwise without him in the line-up, and the last time I can remember Kubel doing the same was the slam against the Red Sox last season.  I would put Monroe at a little more value for the DH spot, just because he has the tendency to hit well in the clutch.

Still don't like getting swept by the Jays, however.

D. Young is just that... young. He'll mature and get better. It just goes to show how fast fans get fed up with a player. When we made the trade there was so much speculation that he'd be a 30-40 HR, 120 RBI man that soon many believed it to be nothing but the truth that he would just CRUSH as a 23 year-old. He's just off to a bad start. Sure, Cuddy missed 3 weeks, but he's batting worse than Young and only has 1 HR... plus he's making 4 times as much money as Young.

I don't think Young is going to bat like this all season, but why not give him a day off or two while others are hitting better? He may return with more incentive at the plate. I mean he doesn't have to be Cal Ripken and play in every game.

And by the way, Cuddy has 13 RBI in 88 AB to Delmon's 12 in 152 AB, and 6 of his 23 hits are for extra bases while only 4 of Delmon's 40 hits are for extra bases. Even though his AVG isn't that bad, it just seems like most of his hits are singles and don't lead to runs.
