So what would all the fans that want Yost gone right now think about a swap of Yost for Willie Randolph.  Now that is an example of a lot of talent underperforming.  I'm just posting this as an example that things can be a lot worse than what we have with Yost.  Yost has been questionable at times, but the question for everyone calling for his head is who else should manage?  It's a decision to be made later on, but I think I can safely say that their are many other teams with bigger problems than we have.

Its hard to say who should replace Yost in the middle of the season and I think we wil have Ned around for better or worse for the rest of the year.

Most of what has happened this year can not be put on Yost, but the fact is that the team is underperforming with him at the helm.  Its not the first year the team has regressed with Yost in charge.  He certainly is not going to hold players accountable in public and who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but the hammer will fall if this team does not improve and it will fall on Yost.

I admit Randoph has a ton of talent, but he has 1 thing Ned does not.  A PLAYOFF APPEARANCE.  Willie Randoph has a much older roster too, almost to old.  (El Duque, Moises Alou, Luis Castillo.  I really belive that the Mets will soon start playing better, and if they don't I am sure Randolph will be gone at the end of the year.

His team gagged away the division in the last week. I don't remember the exact games back with how many to play but it was the worst gag job ever.

djb31, you are 100% correct that the Mets and Randolph chocked the last 18 games of last season.  However Ned and the Brewers chocked the last 80+ games of the season.  Ned melted down in front of his mentor Bobby Cox with the season hanging in the balance.  The year before Randoph took the Mets to the 7th game of the NLCS before loosing to the eventual WS Champs ST.Louis.  Whats Ned got to put on his resume?  A 83 win season and 1 .500 season?
