Rich Harden got dropped in my 10 team h2h weekly standard scoring league. Is he worth using a waiver claim on him or wait and see if he gets picked up or not. Or is he even worth picking up at all? My pitchers are, Lackey, Lincecum, Marcum, Peavy, Cain, Grenike, Jurrjens, and picked up Cabrera, Glavine for their two starts, and Kershaw cuz I thought maybe the Dodgers were going to start him Saturday. I guess he is expendable now.

I would definitely take the risk over Jurrjens, but might not pick him up until he clears waivers.  It depends where you are in the waivers line, if you drop 2 or 3 maybe, but if you drop 8 or 9, I wouldn't.  You want to save your waivers for a situation like I had this week where a guy dropped Micah Owings.  He is a guy who moves a lot of people and then picks them up again as soon as they clear waivers, but since I had a higher waivers then he did, I made a big upgrade with that move.  Still cannot believe that one fell in my lap, and Owings is a two start pitcher next week to top it off.

I wouldn't use the waiver pick on him, but I would grab him at least till he gets hurt again.

I'm 3rd on the waiver list. I'll hang on then to see if he clears. I'll take the chance on him if he still there. Thanks guys for your input.

I would definitely use my waiver claim on him.  Obviously, the guy is always hurt, we all know that.  And there's a good chance that it happens again this year.  But still, Harden is a potential ace and you don't get the chance to pick up an ace off waivers often, if ever.  He's way better than Owings when healthy.  I'd take the chance and get him.

Obviously, you hold onto Lackey, Lincecum, Peavy and Greinke.  Marcum is great too, you have to keep him.  I also like Jurjenns a lot, more than Cain really.  To get Harden I'd either drop Glavine or Cain.  Glavine is the preference, but he does have two starts.
