Pelfrey has what many would call his best outting of the season.  7.2 innings, 1 ER, 3 H, 4 K, 3BB (only negative).

what do the Mets do for him?  make him leave the game losing 1-0.

These are the Nationals?!?!  everyone has been beating on them all season?  but we are going to lose 3-4 at home?!?!

I think I just died a little on the inside.

NYFAN, you arent the only one....This team needs help, no heart at all, no killer instinct...Offense on vacation again...maybe the hitting coach needs to go.....Hate to say it, but it has to start somewhere....

The Mets need to sweep the Yanks, no 2 of 3 crap....because after that on the road at the Braves and then to Denver......

Pitching can only do so much....

Does anyone know what kind of run support Pelfrey gets when he pitches?  Becauselast year he lost a few close games too.  Because after looking at his stats, he gave up more than 2 runs in 3 out of the 7 games he pitched.

I'm right there with you NYFAN6682. I can't believe how bad they've been playing  this year. Let's not nail this down to just today. I think they should start paying us to show up at the games, because watching them play is getting painful! I go to sleep so pissed off! And I'm tired of people saying that .500 is not something to complain about. The third highest payroll in baseball and we have to watch them stink it up every night. Shutout by one of the worst pitching teams in babseball, flatout embarrasing! We just made Odalis Perez, Tim Redding, and Jason Bergmann look like Aces!

If it's not the awful pitching, it's the awful hitting we're talking about. When are they going to start putting it all together?!? Let's be honest, the National League is extremely weak! If we can't beat teams like the Marlins(Yes them because right now they are just overachieving), Pirates, Reds, & Nationals we are in serious trouble! So what if they played a few good games against Arizona & Philly, we should be dominating with the lineup of studs we have. I'm tired of bleeding my heart out every night to watch a bunch of overpaid underachievers.

I sure would like to see Randolph get his lazy ass out of the dugout once a season and show some piss and vinegar! I think in 3 years I've seen him out of the dugout once. This is NY for god's sake, we have some of the most passionate fans out there. So what's wrong with expecting our team to show some heart also! How many times have we yelled during a game on T.V. or at the stadium and we're just spectators.

It would be ok if we were a small market club with no hopes of making it to the playoffs, but we just traded away what was left of the farm system so we could have a championship ballclub. Over the last 3 years we sent every rookie packing in an effort to get a bunch of proven players together under one joint cause, win now!

So if it ain't happening now, well don't expect much in the future. Everyone is locking up their studs these days in long term contracts. Free agency doesn't win championships, and Florida and Oakland aren't going to have fire sales every year!

Pelfrey played great too bad he could not get any run support. the Mets need to fix their bullpen NOW. if they don't they can be in big trouble the rest of the year.
