I think its time for the Mets to fire Willie Randolph. I've always been a fan of Willie, but after the start we've had I've changed my mind. This team needs something to jump start them. We can make a trade because we have no farm system to trade and we can't keep playing subpar baseball. Willie's nonchalant lackadaisical attitude is really getting under my skin. If I have to hear him use the phrase "bottom line" one more time in his interviews I'm going lose it. "we need to hit better, bottom line", "we need to have more timely hitting, bottom line", "we need our pitchers to step up, bottom line", "we need to make better plays in the field, bottom line" ... How about Omar says "Willie, you're fired, bottom line".
We need a manager who will light a fire under the players behinds and get them going. I think we've put up with Willie's way too long now and its obviously not working. Who agrees with me???
