Yes we were rubbish the three seasons before that but as we all know the NFL can change dramatically in one season (Prime example although i hate bringing it up Raiders went from 11-5 to 4-12 after making the superbowl). Yes you had a better record than us last season (7-9) but you went from a 9-7 winning record the season before. What happened with the Raiders we went from 2-14 to 4-12. We won two more games than the year before and you lost two more games than the year before. That shows we are getting better and you are getting worse. We have added great players through FA in the likes of Hall and Wilson, money that was not wasted. You will see this when Cutler doesnt know where to throw when he has the likes of Hall, Wilson, Huff and Asmougha staring him in the face. Bottom line is we should have beaten the Broncos twice last year. The first time they beat us because of a timeout (granted we used the same trick the week after but whatever). They spent that good money to get Dre Bly only for him to be punished over and over by double moves (i.e. the very disgruntled Jerry Porter). As anyone can speculate that we will have a bad year, at least we have potential. We spent all this money this year because no one wants to play for a team when they lose 61 games in 5 years for a bargain prices. This could all fail but anything could. The potential for greatness is very appealing. Just pay attention to our signings of edwards, joseph, harris..etc. Former 1st rounders who can have a shot. Look at Derrick Burgess? When we got him he did well for the Eagles for about one playoff run but had not really gotten a chance. Not to mention, if the broncos talk shit to us my question is, who are they going to throw the ball to? Cutler still emotionally detached from Brandon Marshall? Not to mention their defense is aging while ours is pretty damn young. Hmm.... aint that a bitch?
