haha. It does look pretty pathetic. However when you're a pitcher, I guess the difference could be an inch of break which may be the difference between a whiff and a dinger.

Hockey players are all a little nuts, though. I loved Coburn's reaction to his injury. As soon as my eye opens up, I'm on the ice. The dude just had 55 stitches in his face hours before. A football player (aside from Ronnie Lott) or baseball player would be out a couple of weeks. Hockey players aren't built that way.

I don't think you can compare baseball players to other athletes. It's like apples to oranges.

the '93 Phils, aikman? Those guys were great. They were like the Flyers or Raiders of the diamond. Dirty, grungy, mullet wearing roughnecks.

Funny you brought up John Kruk, AIKMEN. He sums up this thread the best with the difference between baseball players and the other sports.

When asked about his eating, smoking and drinking he said  "I ain't an athlete, lady. I'm a baseball player."
