This is my contribution to all the loyal Tennessee Volunteers out there. A couple of years ago Tim Priest commented to a defense package called "Mustang". The major problem with this was at the time they went in to the prevent defense and of course it prevented them from winning and now all the quick to judge Tennessee fans talk about how they hate the Mustang defense. Okay, kids the Mustang defense is NOT the prevent defense. What the Mustang refers to is a player package typically starters. The actual defensive play is called something else. So please stop saying you hate the Mustang package. Listen and call to Coach Doug Mathews on Big Orange Sunday and he will lay it out for you.

I would say that is is a "little known Fact" that the Aggies of TAMU won the 1927 "National Title".......

BUT

since that is ALL you ever hear about from them...... everyone and there dog knows about the '27 title.... its all they have to cling too.

I know that it's not OSU who has only had one 7 loss season in their history back in the 1800's.  Granted they only won 1 game but that is enough to avoid this dubious distinction.

JSS, are you talking about the 222-0 shutout by Heismann's GT team over Columbia, or GA?

Florida state 1973, Florida 1979[they did tie Georgia Tech 7-7]- the others would be sheer luck on guessing.

Rutgers did not lose a regular season game in basketball or football in an entire calendar year 01-01-76 to 12-31-76. Football went 11-0 with no bowl bid. The basketball went undefeated in regular season, won the east regional before losing to Michigan in the national semis and UCLA in the consolation game.
