Dodgers @ Brewers 5/14/08

Well...another loss for the Dodgers and another shaky outing by Penny.  He was looking alright there for a bit, but, again, lost it in the 5th.  I held out a bit of hope when they brought in Gagne to try and save it...but, it figures, he decides to actually save a game against the Dodgers.  How many of us figured it would end with Andruw Jones striking out though?  Certainly I did.  He did manage a walk out of it, but then Pierre pops out to short....awesome power display there.

Well...I guess I've vented enough.  The losing streak continues....hopefully for just one more day

Exactly....Pierre was 1 for 4, no walks and left 4 on base.  Certainly not what you want from your leadoff hitter.  Hu definitely isn't getting it done batting a wonderful .196....I don't care how great you might be defensively, if you're batting below 200 you're not helping the team out.  The Dodgers are certainly not going to win any games when you score 3 runs....you're asking too much from your pitchers.  Martin and Kemp had good games, but didn't get much help from anyone else.  Wade pitched nicely in relief if you want to find any positives out of this game.

Another frustrating evening and here's hoping the bats come together tomorrow night and get going against Parra.

I think until Furcal gets back... dammit Lowe..not against the pitcher.
