It seems like a matter of time before Oakland adds another veteran receiver.
Among the names most mentioned include Koren Robinson, who was just cut Green Bay, and Chris Henry, who was recently waived by Cincinnati. Yes, both Robinson and Henry have had their share of off-field problems and both are risky moves. At this point, no veteran is going to get big-dollar deals, anyway so the risk could be worthwhile for a team in need. And Oakland does needs some more help at receiver.
Yes, Oakland brought in veterans Javon Walker and Drew Carter. Both players have had knee issues and in Walker's case, the chance for a future microfracture procedure is fairly strong.
So, an insurance policy is needed at receiver in Oakland. Thus, keep an eye out for the Raiders to pick up another receiver. Because of off-field circumstances, it may take a lot for any team to sign either Henry or Robinson. But Oakland needs a receiver and it will address it at some point, likely before its team-wide minicamp June 3-5.
