As in the words of Joe Namith he is Struggggling. Clete Thomas is mired in a 4 for 34 stretch his last 10 games bring his average down to .185. I guess the Tigers made the right decision to bring up Matt Joyce to replace Jacque Jones. In good news though Brent Clevlen who in my opinion has the best arm in the organization is hitting .313 for the season. Although being a right handed batter hurts him with all the righties the tigers have (wouldn't mid seeing him on the roster should Marcus Thames get traded though ). Still has more than 1 k a game but is improving in that area. The big question at Toledo is what do the Tigers do with Jeff Larish. Last years minor league player of the year is a left handed slugging first baseman hitting .273 with 10 HR and 30 RBI in 30 games was being groomed as the future first baseman. However with Miguel Cabrerra now at first what happens to the left handed power hitter they need in that lineup.

Of course he's struggling.  Your AL Rookie of the Year belongs up in the bigs where he can show his stuff (and qualify for AL Rookie of the Year).
