Good for Sergio....humility is so important till you have become an established champ and even then, humility will give you a better recognition. No one likes a cocky guy....no matter how good. Hope he really gives Tiger a good challenge in the next few years.

As for Paul, poor thing.......such awful luck. Well, at least, he has just...won the Sony last year....and it's only 16 years.....a long way to go.

Being away for a while can help the game a little......I was referring to Tiger being off course, of course!.

I haven't seen it but I'll have to check it out.  I was thrilled when Sergio won.  He's been my #1 favorite player for several years now (since he was first pitted as Tiger's rival) and I'm happy to see him finish off a tourney for the win especially after last year's British Open broke my heart.

Congratulations to Sergio Garcia to pulling out the win!

Sergio definitely handled his press conference with just total class.  He was humorous and humble and gracious.  Hard work and dedication to the game have carried him to the top.

Until yesterday I thought  Sergio was a classless little spoiled brat.  Spittting in cups, the waggles, the media scrutiny, the whole world against him!

I think the young Spaniard has finally grown up.

Amen to all of the above. Good show by Sergio, both in the tournament, and in the press conference. Also, congrats to Paul Goydos on a very good tournament and real show of sportsmanship. I hope he eventually wins again.

It's amazing how the school of hard knocks can adjust your perspective on things.  Apparently Sergio has taken a few classes.  He's grown up quite a bit and has developed a lot more poise on the course and it showed as well in his post game press conference.  Maybe he read something that I learned a long time ago about getting people on your side....

First, arouse in others an eager want..... He who can do this has the whole world with him.  He who cannot walks a lonely way.

Just sayin....

That wa good all around for Sergio.  Tee to green, he was awsome!  Putting, well let's face it, for Sergio, he did very well.  It's hard to believe he was ranked so high in putting years ago so maybe he has that ability somewhere.

Whether he wins or not, watch where he finishes in his next 4 or 5 events, especially how he does on Sundays.  Flame or fizzle, time will tell.

I's say 3 top tens and no missed cuts in the next 4 event would be a strong statement.  I hope he do it or better.

Tiger needs a consistant foe.  Bring it on!!
