Unreal. All 4 of their best players had to have surgery this year.
First it was Yao Ming during the season. Then it was Tracy McGrady recently. Now it's both Rafer Alston and Shane Battier. I can't remember a team that had every one of it's best players have to have surgery during, or after, the season like the Rockets this year.
Ming needed immediate surgery and couldn't play after he got hurt. T-Mac, Alston, and Battier all played through their injuries to be there for their team when they were needed the most. I don't think anyone can call any of these players soft, or "me" players. They are all team players that did what's best for the team. Now if only the Rockets could surround these core players with more talent. They might be a force to be reckoned with in the mighty West. Guess only time will tell.
