NO thats not a good trade. Trading Allen Iverson and Kenyon Martin is not the answer. Yes we do need a point guard but I dont think that Stephon Marbury would be a good fit for the Nuggets so I dont think we trade with the Knicks. The person we need to trade is Carmelo Anthony. Yes, you may say hes young and AI is getting old. At the rate Melo is going hes not gonna be in the NBA for much longer. Hes a huge distraction and is really the only Nuggets player who has been getting in trouble off the court. J.R. Smith has been labeled a thug but as far as arrests go Melo has him beat and the brushes JR has had with the law oddly Melo has been involved. Melo needs to go. We need to trade him now while he has a lot of trade value. I think making a move for Ben Gordon from the Bulls and Ron Artest from the Kings would be a good move. I also think that Marcus Camby's production is really starting to go down and that we need a new Center. We have quality guys off the bench like J.R. Smith (could be a potential superstar, if he keeps his cool and gets the playing time he deserves), Linas Kleiza, and Eduardo Najera who should get more playing time. This leads me to the second problem with the Nuggets, that being coach George Karl. The Nuggets have a lot of work to do this offseason but have a lot of talent that just needs to be put together right.

^^^ ummmmmmmmmmm no you never trade the player you build your franchise too......Melo and AI are the cornerstones everybody else (except maybe JR Smith) is expendable...Id try to find the best combination of players to get rid of to get the most back...Camby and K Mart for Elton Brand and a draft pick? To tell you the truth the reason we get manhandled like we do is because we cant compete with the big men of the west (The Duncans, Gasols, Bynam Amare Stotamires) and unless your very talented in the PG position (like Golden State, Phoenix or New Orleans) you really dont need a monster of a center........

Well to be honest, while I love watching AI, I am not sure if a 30+ year old player with one year left on his contract, and no real cap space in sight to re-sign him should be called a cornerstone.

K-mart is not really tradeable, except for a loss.  His contract pays him more than Dwight Howard.  93 million is a lot invested in a player that barely has put together one healthy season.

So while a trade like Camby and KMart for Elton sounds good.  To financially get it through, the Clippers would have to throw in Maggette or Kaman to make it work.  Of course there is no way LA would go for that.

I do agree that a dominant post player is sooooo very important.  Someone that can body up and play good D.  Someone that can score points down low on the 4's and 5's.  If you look at past NBA champions, you need either one thing.  A dominant big man, or Michael Jordan.  Mikes not playing anymore, so they need to get that big man.  Honestly, I would be willing to see the Nuggets trade anything they have for one other than Melo, Kleiza, and JR Smith (if they re-sign him).

Forgot to finish  lol

Finding a dominant big man who is young is pretty tough... guys I would love to see besides the obvious ones who likely aren't moving anywhere....

Al Jefferson.  May be quite unhappy in Minnesota right now.

Emeka Okefor.  Once again, good player on a horrible team that isn't even good in the Eastern conference.

LaMarcus Aldridge.  I think it would be very hard to get Portland to give up what they think will be one of their new twin towers though...

Shawn Marion...  I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to force a trade.

Well, Nuggets need an inside scorer, Kenyon Martin is injured too often, and a point guard that actually passes the ball.

10 more assists from PG and 20 points inside the rim from PF a game would do wonders for this team.

And I really think AI is expendable, only Melo isn't, but who knows what will happen.

I think we could trade down with the Sonics and acquire extra 2nd rounder(s).

we need to trade away Kenyon Martin, JR Smith, Anthony Carter & Diawara (?)
Steven Hunter might be a possible Marcus Camby in the future...
i think if we packed all those 3 players for a good PG, it would help

Trading Melo would be stupid.  He is supposed to be your franchise player and you want to trade him.  No way you get what he is worth in a trade.  Its not his fault you guys went 4 and out you just dont play any defense.  If you gotta move someone why not AI's old ass.  Just my opinion.

I would love to see us go after Rose, I think he is going to be a stud.  we need a good point guard, only problem is he doesnt shoot very well.  AI for Rose!  Don't think Chitown would do it though.

I would trade Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby and the 20th pick in the draft to Miami for Shawn Marion, Udonis Haslem and the 2nd pick which we use to acquire Derrick Rose. Denver might need to throw in a bit more but I think this trade works well. Starting 5 would be:

PG: Rose

SG: Iverson

SF: Marion

PF: Martin

C: Haslem

Bench: JR Smith; Kleiza and Nene

I think that Miami would have to be intrigued to put Wade and Melo on the same team and would also get Camby for some defensive help.

^That would be a good realistic trade that would help both teams tremendously, but I believe Haslem is better suited at PF then C similar to Nene.

I love Camby, but he is slowing down... and lets be honest, he is basically only utilized on the defensive end of the court via rebounding and defending/blocking. And with an incosisntently producing KMart... we lack any kind of inside offensive post presence.

I honestly dont see the Heat letting Marion go though... they will be in a competitive position with a solid draft and 1-2 FA trades.

I would love to see us pickup Artest... we need the solid defensive player with the ability to contribute on offense. Currently the only player that can do this is Anthony Carter at PG, but he is not a consistent playmaker.

I would say that you keep the team as it is besides Marcus Camby and Kenyon Martin. AI may only have a few more good years so lets please cherish them and get a new coach. JR Smith will be a star if he gets more quality minutes, Kleiza and Nene have a future ahead of them. Carmelo Anthony has been great besides the defense and to solve that I think you get a new coach. As for the point guard, I would see if Chucky Atkins comes back healthy and starts playing well or maybe draft or get a free agent and give Taureen Green some time at point guard and see how he ends up doing. I think you try to get something out of Marcus Camby, and try to trade K-mart for Ron Artest.

either the Nuggets add more or the Heat remove haslem from this trade and then it would make sense!
