2) LaRon Landry (Redskins)

3) Bob Sanders (Colts)

4) Reggie Nelson (Jaguars)

5) Atari Bigby (homer pick but if you watched the playoffs you would know this guy is a beast) (Packers)

I know he's getting old but I still think Brian Dawkins is the best.  Donte Whitner will make a splash this year.

I agree with Bob Sanders and Ed Reed.  These guys make the defense click.  When Bob was injured we saw how the Colts D played, and then the change when he returned.

I thnk Gibril Wilson will be a great safety agian  and very underrated    but without a dline no safetys all that special

I think Roy Williams will play his @ss off this season  in fear of loosing money/contract/ hes getting older  you get the point..prove he can play more than the lb part of safety

and with the way the defence is set up with such a great coordinator  dont be surprised if kenny philips seems like a probowler and he might just be

the picks are obvious though

sanders reed and polamalu all are tied depending on your defence

huff nelson and landry all will be in what their 2nd or 3rd seasons now ? so they could bust or prove their worth  you get my point  you could make a case for a good amount of guys

I mean LaRon Landry is good but he isnt yet #2.

Ed Reed
Bob Sanders
Brian Dawkins are all up their.

I think Gibril Wilson is going to be a beast again this year finally playing in a good secondary. I also think Michael Huff being moved to FS will let him Roam and make a ton of plays

1. Ed Reed

2. Bob Sanders

3. Brian Dawkins

4. LaRon Landry

5. Donte' Whitner

Reggie Nelson is a good saftey but he's not at that top level yet. Donte' Whitner will have a huge year with Buffalo with the comeback of Paul Pozluzny. He will force the opposing QB throw quicker and less accurate and Whitner will be playing the QB's eyes. Bob Sanders is the single most important player to his team. He does everything for the Colts' D. LaRon Landry is just a football player. He is always in the right spot and ready to make the play.

Ed Reed

Bob Sanders

Darren Sharper - even though he is getting old still one of the best but I guess thats why they drafted one with there 1st pick

LaRon Landry - next up and coming star

John Lynch - Slow but can pack one hell of a punch if he can catch you

Crap, I forgot Troy Palomanu. He's somewhere in between Bob Sanders and Brian Dawkins. That pushes Whitner out of the top 5.

If we can add future great safeties then Haruki Nakamura.  Any young defender that comes to the Ravens usually seems to do well.

The heck with free safety or strong safety, the Ravens have a ninja safety!

Troy Polomalu is overrated. He can lay some big hits but he isn't a playmaker, that and i hate his hair, Atari Bigby's is much cooler
