Saban isn't brilliant, i'm sure plenty of coaches had this idea.

Saban just had the stones to do it.

No different from actually seeing the player for real. The rule needs to enforced or else eliminated

Props to Sabin for bringing recruiting to another level.

Oh i'm sure the NCAA is workin dilligently on snuffing out this idea... Gotta hand it to Saban for continuing to push the envelope on the recruiting rules in plain sight.

I don't see a problem.  It is basically a video phone call, so the rules regarding phone calls should already fit...

Saban is a P.O.S.  Everyone at Alabama has another thing coming if they think he can turn around the Tide like he did LSU.  At LSU he'd didn't have a major in state school to compete against in Louisiana.  Everyone in Louisiana loves LSU.  Recruiting and building a hell of a team was easy for him.  No way he does the same at Alabama with Auburn in state.  Don't worry Bama fans, he'll jump ship in 5 years when he gets bored.  You won't get the chance to hate him.

If building a team is so easy then why did LSU have 11 straight losing seasons before Saban got there? If Saban wins a national championship at Bama and leaves, fine I'll thank him for his efforts. LSU fans are to stupid to thank a man who did a great job while he was your coach.

Nick Saitan is as big a cheater and classless as the people in the city he coaches in... and as classless as his little buddy Bill Bellicheat.

How about the fact that coaches at the college and pro level work anywhere from 12-16 hours a day with film, practice, recruiting, fundraising and then there are the parts of thier lives that are not talked about (how about raising a family and being a good husband).  If Saban is to spend more time at home and made his job more efiicient by taking advantage of technology and something not against the rules than good on him.

I still think he is a jerk and I wouldn't him at my school, so he could stay for a season then skip town.

"Nick Saitan is as big a cheater and classless as the people in the city he coaches in... and as classless as his little buddy Bill Bellicheat."

Coming from a Miami fan this is ridiculus. Miami is the drug capital of America and you are harping on Tuscaloosa.
