I think, being a St. Louisan and die-hard RedBirds fan, that Edmonds is DONE...finished...washed up. I think he's had a good career, and has made some memorable and monumental plays, offensively and defensively. This is what happens to an aging centerfielder that played with the intensity that Jimmy played with. All those diving catches that he made can really take a toll on a man's body. One thing I loved about Jimmy is that he knew if a diving catch was actually needed. He wasn't one of those fielders that made a diving play just to get on the highlight reel (see Tampa Bay Rays OF)...he even stated in an interview once, something about how all the young players diving after they basically had the ball in their glove, "showing" off...
I hate to say it, but I think Jimmy's done...he's had a great career...but like all other good things, it must come to an end. I'd say my good-byes now...
...then again, the Big Hurt's still playing (after a week off!!!=BS!!!), and people are saying BB might come back with the 'Bucks...we'll see...
