	so we can all pretty much book it that carlisle is the next coach YAY YAY YAYso wat do u think our record will be next season i say 60-22 which is pretty damn good for a first year coach i think carlisle will be great for us i think our def will be top 5 in the league

	I would really like to see what this team looks like before I give a prediction. Who knows what this team is going to look like next year. I'd like to predict another 50 win season though... As I am a homer!!!

	I think that 60-22 is a stretch, but I am just saying that now. If they make some moves and get a deal done for a key free agent then 60 is possible. I would like to see them go after Gilbert Arenas but that's me. Right now I say 50-55 wins.

	50+ has got to be a given since they are good enuff but i doubt gilbert would bea mav hes never goin to leav the Wizards kidd is our guy for now i want to see the mavs go after okafor hes a free agent hes wat we need at center good post player also baron is a fa but we wont get him

	I do think we need to go after a new point guard cuz kidd showed us last year that he couldnt do it yea so we averaged more assists with him but we also averaged alot more turnovers trading for kidd was just flat out not a good movie

	I say we go get TJ Ford to be a back up and change of pace and Arrest for the muscle and he use to play with Rick C. Also land a jump shooter that can score off the dribble, a younger stack. Next year Kidd, Terry, Dirk, Artest, Bass. That would be my starting 5 you have muscle and a d stopper two shooters a passer and a guy that brings energy. It will all change if they get a scorer that can get to the hole.

	I thought it would be funny to see them team up again. It would be spreewell and carlismo teaming up. I like artest for defense and he brings the attitude we have been missing. He is like howard but plays d every night. If the Spurs didn't have bowen they wouldn't have any rings of late. We need the rebounding and toughness to make a run. Just a thought, who do you like.

	Artest would be a really good fit if you want the team to fall apart everywhere he has been falls apart he is a good defender but has zero offense plus the man whos going to bring the D is Mr. Carlisle

	you guys are getting off topic the thread is how many games the mavs will win next year also the reason kidd wasnt good last year was bc he didnt fir averys system carlisle lets the point guard run the offence thats wat kidd is best at doin thats y kidd and carlisle fit perfectly we are not going to get rid of kidd we gave up too much to get him he is our guy end of story plus he only played half a season give him a full one

	i would give kidd a full season its just to bad that he doesnt even have a full season left hes old and cant run with the younger guards which was proved when Chris Paul tore him a new one in the playoffs

	im not just saying this bc im a mavs fan but kidd actually was very fast running down the court he may not hav that athleticism anymore but speed is sumthin he still has thats for sure and of course paul is faster hes younger and lighter

	Hey im a mavs fan to and you just proved my point pretty much you said it was cuz he was younger and lighter just like every other point guard in the NBA compared to kidd im just saying that picking up a guy like ford would be a huge addition because kidd doesnt have another full year on his tires

	I say 55 wins! Dirk and Kidd are going to play with chips on their shoulders. And the West is going to be even more competitive than last year with Portland coming around. Hopefully the Suns or Nuggets will be the ones sitting at home come playoff time in 2009 and not the Mavs!
