Adam Dunn is such a great $13 million player that on a night where the Reds are facing a right handed pitcher...Griffey and Phillips are out of the lineup (one sick, one hurt)...He is hitting down at #6 while rookie Joey Votto hits 3rd.
Yea...Great player...Remind me again how bad Josh Hamilton is.
Oh yea...He is hitting around .300 and leading the AL in RBIs...Yea...Lets keep Dunn and get rid of Hamilton!

Now the Reds are talking hitting with Adam Dunn in a Real Reds segment...I don't think I've laughed this hard in my life...
Hey kids...NEVER EVER take baseball tips from Adam Dunn...It will ruin your career.

Adam Dunn's swing has more holes than the TPC at Sawgrass.

I guarantee you I could throw a ball over the plate that he couldn't hit...Its easy...Just throw the ball over the outside corner of the plate and about knee high...He can't touch it.

But 'Tuck, didn't you know he is "country strong"? God I hate that phrase.............
If he was from Wisconsin instead of Texas, he would be a sure fire Hall of Famer.

I was trying to think of a joke that would allow me to use the phrase "country strong." You beat me to the punch, Chi. The funny thing is, that particular phrase is always attached to guys who struggle to hit better than .250.
"Rob Deer may have struck out 3 times today, and sure he's only hitting .206, but I'll tell ya boy...he sure is country strong!"

Whenever someone asks you what baseball team you like, you should respond, "the worst team in baseball."

its not like cincy just release hamilton, so they can play dunn.
we got edinson volquez, for hamilton. im real happy with this trade.
chances are they offer dunn, but they said no.
who knows, hamilton could fall of the wagon again, and start smoking crack again. its not like it hasen't happen before.
we needed a starting pitcher. we have a guy that has way better number then are ace harang.

Remind me again how bad Josh Hamilton isHow good is Volquez?
Dunn is a very good player but he's just not hitting right now. The only player in the majors to hit 40 home runs each of the past four years tells me he'll come around, hell nobody else has even done it the last three years

What is 40 HRs over 162 games when you strike out 190 times, cannot field your position better than ANYONE in baseball, hit BARELY .250, have no arm, and barely get 100 RBIs to go with those 40 HRs (lots of solo HRs).
Adam Dunn is a ONE DEMINSIONAL baseball player...That you cannot argue. He can do one thing...Hit HRs...THAT IS IT! That has always been it. He cannot hit for average, he strikes out all the time, he is TERRIBLE defensively (worthless in the outfield), and has no speed.
The guy hurts you more than he helps you.
Hamilton is a five tool player...NO comparison to Dunn...He can hit for average...He can hit 25-35 HRs...He can lead a league in RBIs...He can field his position well...HE can steal bases.
Volquez has been great...But I would rather Texas have Dunn than Hamilton!

.............................................................................
im not trying too start an arguement with you, but how can you say he can do all these things, when he hasent even played a full year yet?
he got real tired last year, and i belive this is why he got hurt.
he started his first year, like he has this year, then got hurt(tired).
time will tell.
but yea, cincy needs to get rid of dunn. i just dont think anyone will take him

To say he "barely" gets too 100 RBIs is not a fair point against him because 100 RBIs is great in the first place. He's went 100-100 three of the last four years
His defense is atrocious, and I'm not saying he's not a one dimensional offensive player. He is, all he does is hit home runs. But home runs are the most important single thing in baseball, more important than great defense, great speed, great contact
I'm not saying Dunn is HOF worthy or that I'd rather have him than Hamilton, I'm just saying I would rather have Dunn and Volquez than Hamilton. Volquez makes it worth it in my opinion for what he'll do for the Reds over his career
