D'Antoni is as good as gone...Once a team gives a coach permission to talk to other teams, he's gone. Suns are hoping he quits and signs with another team so they don't have to pay him.

He is.
Coaches come and go.
And for around a reported $30 MILLION,  I'm already on my way to the NYC

You may be right, however I think I'm gonna take steve's prediction pretty strongly since he is the one who actually KNOWS him, and interacts with him and talks to him, so don't be so prepared to say he's gone.

I am probably the minority in a town with two baseball teams and no mention of anything NBA since 1998. But bringing D'Antoni here would solve nothing for a franchise still trying to establish its Post Jordan idenity. We had a coach with a defensive mind and that still did not breed success. We had multiple opportunities for bringing a quality coach to Chicago over the past few years and this is what Paxon and the boys have come up with so far? They must see something I do not.

D'Antoni will be out of the league in three years no matter which team he coaches next year. It just shows you how hard up teams are for coaches right now. Like it was said, D'Antoni neglects defense altogether. Look for him back in the Europe leagues in 3-5 years!
