How about the great Don Hahn,  you just have to love the name.    Craig Swann,  super ERA.   Ron Hodges,  super sub behind the plate.   Lee Mazzili,  matinee idol, and finally Red Garret,  one of the million or so Met third baseman.

John Milner...This guy looked like a terror when he came up but how many people really remember who he was.
Dave Henderson...Same as above only he was the gem in the Tom Seaver trade....he had the look, the stroke, and the hype...but lasted only a couple of years with the Mets.
Amos Otis....Loved him but the Mets had other ideas for him
John Stearns....What an animal of a player...heart & soul
Eddie Foy....never given a full time chance but the guy hit the cover off the ball

While your at it, might as well remember the miracle 69' Mets. With the exception of Jones, Agee, and Clendennon, what a bunch of mediocre guys who were always exciting to watch.   Thank goodness for Seaver, Koosman , Gentry, Ryan, and Caldwell.

Top Five not so great Mets

- Jim Fregosi (had better years with the Angels and then the Mets moved him from SS to 3B)

- Richie Hebner (we gave up the farm for him from the Pirates and he wouldn't play for us and demanded to be traded)

- Ron Swoboda (was to be the next Roger Maris-boy was that a farce was suppose to take the Mets pass the Yankees in the NY tabloids)

- Sid Finch (remember that April 1st SI article?)

- Shawn Abner (one of many first round busts, like Ryan Jaroncyk who retired after one year in the minors and Chris Cannizaro instead of Reggie Jackson of the A's)
