I just noticed that he is penciled in to start on Sunday. The 2006 1st rounder (2nd overall) has excellent stuff and has excelled in the minors.
His stats in 07 at Tulsa were: 4 wins, 1 loss, a 1.42 ERA and .81 whip
His 08 stats have not been as good as he is 1-2 with a 4.86 era and a 1.62 era with the Sky Sox.
It is an interesting move, but Reynolds pitched well in his last start giving up 2 runs in 8 innings and I guess the club believes that he is ready and couldn't do any worse than Mark Redman. It will be a tough matchup against Chris Young, but I am eager to see what the young guy can do.
(Wow the future is bright with Jimenez, Morales and Reynolds all under 25 with excellent stuff!)
