	And I'm sure losing Mario to what the team had to think was a season ending injury dwarfs the shock of losing Kimmo, a very good player to be sure. Flyers would need to lose Kimmo, Briere, Richards, Carter, & Biron to even come close to the Pens losing Mario. No disrespect to Gretzky, but in my opinion, Mario Lemieux is the greatest player to ever lace up the skates and I'm a Flyers fan.

	Parent or modry Flyers fans? Personally, I'd rather take the inexperience with Parent over the lack of speed from Slowdry. If Parent is going to be that top shut down guy on the team, lets see it!

	Parent or modry Flyers fans? I personally think Modry is a liability on defense, so I'd rather see Parent.

	Sorry, to continue my post above.... But Parent has been buried on the depth chart all playoffs. So my guess is Modry will get the nod.

	I am with you bew...My feeling is you know exactly what your going to get from modry, and it isn't anything to write home about and at this point in his career there isn't room for improvement. In terms of talent neither is timmonen, but i feel parent is a lot closer in skill level to timmonen than modry is.

	Bring on Parent and let the youngster hopefully give us a spark at D. I do not want them to insert Modry into the lineup. If no Parent then I am for putting Kapanen back on D like they did a few years ago b/c of injuries. Maybe put Kapanen on D and put Cote or Downie in the lineup.

	but i feel parent is a lot closer in skill level to timmonen than modry is. I think I'm closer in skill to Timmonen than Modry is, AND I CAN'T ICE SKATE!!! If no Parent then I am for putting Kapanen back on D like they did a few years ago b/c of injuries. That's actually not a bad idea! You might need Cote for this series and that would free up the position for him.

	I think I'm closer in skill to Timmonen than Modry is, AND I CAN'T ICE SKATE!!! Great post Bew! That is one of the funniest things I've read on these boards. I heard about Timmo on the way home last night and almost drove my car into a ditch! Oh well, The Flyers got this far with a team effort so let's see if Stevens can work some magic! This is a big hole to fill but I still believe they can get it done! The Flyers do have strong defensive forwards so they're not dead yet! Injuries are part of the game and they have to go to war with what they've got! Let's Go Flyers!!!!!!

	I woke up today and had to hear the news from crappy sports center. I hear Modry is going to play. I would have to agree with everyone else that I would prefer Parent of Modry. Besides supposedly being a a top shut down defense man of the future, Parent played pretty well when he was up during the regular season. The problem with the Flyers had with their defense was speed with the likes of Hatcher. We lose one of our best and quickest defense man and we are going to replace him with who? I would prefer Parent hands down. We're not even talking about the loss this brings to our power play. Its such a blow I was actually thinking of wagering the -240 on the Pens.
