Chargers vs. Chiefs 1994 at Jack Murphy Stadium.... Stan Humphries, Ronnie Harmon, Natrone Means "Business" and Junior "Say Ow" light up Joe Montana and Marcus Allen 20-6.... actually that wasnt my first Chargers-Chiefs game but it was the oldest one that I remeber....

Its was in 96' or 97' cant remember,but my Manager/Jeff at Rouses' Bar-b-que had given me two tickets to the Chiefs Vs. Giants. They were not the greatest seats,but it was freaking awsome and "when the National anthem" was sung before the game. I herd "And the home of the (CHIEFSsssssss) for the 1st time live and it was unreal. The regular season games can and will not compair to the regular season games! I cant even imagin a Playoff game at Arrowhead. I've been to a couple pre-season games but there still awsome and tailgaiting in the Parking lot is the best!!!

My first game was 2002 against the Chargers and it was Marty's first game back in Arrowhead so that was interesting. It was a great game, we were up in the 300's, nit moved down to behind the end zone after the first quarter. Good move as Trent hit Boerighter for a 99 yard TD pass and I saw the whole play develop. Since then I've gone to a game every year since 04, Broncos, Raiders, and Packers respectively. All great games and only the Broncos game was freezing. Saw a Favre comeback which is probably the coolest thing I've seen in sports. We won all games but the Packers one obviously...
Going to the Dolphins game this year though so it should be freezing...

Right GOO GOO. You went to a game in 1960, which makes you about 70 years old know. I have never in my life heard more lies from one person. You went from 15 to 70 overnight? pre season vs. Carolina 1997 ( I Think) it was a lot of fun getting to see DT and Marcus Allen...I was like 11 and we won 30-10 I believe

Who saw Steve DeBerg play? My first game was Huddle Club section in the ole Municipal Stadium on Brooklyn around 1964-65. I Think I saw Jack Kemp play too. Bert Coan and Lenny D.and Fred Arbanas... In those days we could park in somebody's front yard for a couple of dollars.

I never seen Steve DeBerg in person, living in Idaho, but i remember his old 49er's years, before somebody named Montana came along. He spent a few years with Tampa, and I think a season or two with Denver. He had a great year for the Chiefs in 1990, I think he threw something like 25 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. Over the years, I probalby seen him, play quite a bit. He was a good QB. Never got the credit the deserved, especially with the Chiefs.

Interesting question. The whole reason I became a Chiefs fan.
To set it up, I was going to college in KC and working PT for UPS. As part of one of their many strokers for good productivity, they gave our entire line Chief tickets (October game against Minnesota). But wouldn't you know it; it was the *strike* year [1986].
Well, being pissed off, I drove to the Chiefs front office, at Arrowhead, and wanted my ill-gotten money back. But the beautiful CSR, at the front desk, enticed me with tickets to the Raiders game later on in the year (Minnesota game - October - nose bleed seats; Raider game - 50 yard line - 10 rows back).
Raiders?
I bit. And wouldn't you know it, the strike was settled by that time. And I was treated to see KC Royal, and football traitor, Bo Jackson's inaugural appearance at Arrowhead in the enemy's uniform. I was hooked!
Bo ran on the field to a deluge of *Bo-Ball's* (football shaped Nerf baseball's) and ran right back into the club house. The sellout crowd was rowdy, the weather great (for December), the barbeque excellent (as always).
And the Chiefs won a hard fought game, 16 to 12.
It was football heavan!
