May not make financial sense, but wouldn't he be a nice piece to fill a major hole for the Warriors?

We have two years to make a run with this team (maybe just one depending on Baron's future contract).  Nowitki would bring a more depndabel outside shot and some more size inside.  I think Nelson can get more out of him.

I would be willing to trade Wright, our #1 pick this year, and and maybe Harrington would have to be in that mix to make it happen...thoughts?

I know every Warrior fan hates Dirk, but look at it from a basketball sense.  Elton Brand is also someone we should pursue...

I think Nowitzki could be the most over rated player in the league.  He can shoot it, but he is a huge liability on defense and he does not play like he is 7 feet tall which is good and bad.  The Warriors need a guy like Paul Milsap from Utah.  I guy who can get up and down and plays bigger than his size.  I would not mind Brand, but Nowitzki is not my cup of tea and I would hate to see Wright go.  I think he has way to much upside to let go right now.

I wouldn't mind seeing Antwain Jamison back in a Warrior uniform either.  He makes a better four than Al Harrington too.  Warriors have some great young talent and adding a veteran with some size and ability to score in the paint without having to be a back it into the lane post up player would be great.

I have one word NO. He is great regular season but come playoff time goes in the tank and is mentally on vacation.  He is not a good fit at all. I would rather have us go get Brand and then a point Guard, either Vet or draft to replace Baron.

are you out of your mind

Dallas is not going to trade Dirk for a bunch of spares and a iffy number one pick

good thing your not the general manager or you would get laughed at

really Al Harrington hasnt shown up sense his atlanta days and wright? please...

the draft really is not that strong this year as well.

i dont know why every Warriors fan hates Dirk, hes never done anything to fase the warriors but lose in the playoffs

it would by far cost golden state more

Dallas is trying to get better not worse

yea i guess your just a MORON

hey its a good thing your the general manager!!!

you cant be serious if you think Dirk is over rated

season after season he puts up the same consistant amazing numbers

yes he has had his flaws but lets face it everyone has their ups in downs.

for example he rose to the challange of the Hornets this year unfortunantly his team did not

please show me how hes over rated

Some of y'all are throwing the haterade around methinks.

Nowitzki's not perfect but I think we are forgetting that he was the key guy on a team that made it all the way to the NBA finals a few years ago.  I think that Dallas did fall on some lucky circumstances that year, but still--let's have some perspective.

Without a doubt Nowitzki would help and most certainly be an upgrade at the power forward position.  It gives the Warriors one more player who can carry a team offensively and he also helps out in one of the weakest areas the Warriors have--which is rebounding.

He also won the MVP last year, and though many would say he was underserving...and I agree with that.  The fact that he was even in the conversation for MVP means something.

Of course with Dirk, you need to ask the same questions you would with ANY player you are considering bringing in....such as how much do we have to pay him?  Is he worth that much?  Can we get one or more players who would be a better fit than Dirk would for that kind of money?  Would we have to give up any key pieces to get him (through a trade or making cap room)?.....etc. etc. etc.

I don't have the answers to these questions due to lack of research into these areas, but I would say it is at least a "maybe".

PAUL MILSAP?????? OVER DIRK?????

If we were just talking about adding one of these guys to the team for the exact same salary and not changing anything on their roster--then there is no way Milsap helps more than Dirk.

But in the world of reality, the Warriors are not going to get a player like Dirk without giving up some pieces no matter how you slice it (be it free agency or a trade).

With Milsap, he is simply a guy who would give a lot of what the Warriors are lacking and not come at too heavy of a price.  This is why he is somewhat of a realistic guy to go after in my mind, because they have a decent shot at getting him somehow while still keeping Monta, Baron, Stack Jack, and Biedrins.  I have a hard time seeing them get Dirk in any fashion without having to trade or withhold re-signing one of those guys.

HEY NOBRAINESS07,

I did not say that I thought Milsap was better than Dirk.  I just meant that giving up what you would have to give up for DIrk or giving up what you would have to give up for Milsap, I would rather add Milsap than Dirk.

Rose to the challenge of the Hornets???  They lost 4-1!!!  MORON!
