I know that our whole lineup has been struggling and Hafner and Martinez are out, but Dellucci batting 4th and now 3rd?  He has had a couple of good games but I'm not sure he's going to be reliable in the heart of the Tribe's order.  Hopefully he proves me wrong and goes on a tear, because besides Martinez, no one else has been hitting like they deserve to be in the 3,4,5 spots.  Good thing our pitching has been awesome and only getting better this year.  Go Tribe!

Crazy isn't it? Things have gotten so bad that Dave Delucci is a viable candidate to hit in the 3 or 4 hole. The thing is, he is a good option right now. I don't see it lasting as I'm sure he will struggle again soon. I can see Wedge tinkering with the lineup for a few weeks until he finds something that works and maybe a few of these guys will start to come around.

Normally, I'd like to see Looch in the heart of the order - on another team.  Any other time, if David Dellucci was hitting the way he is now I'd say trade him right away, before he re-injures himself or goes into a slump.  No way the Indians should trade him now, he's one of the top offensive contributors.

Yes, Looch in the heart of the order on the Tribe is a good option - this is crazy!

I agree, it is a sad day at the Jake..err..Progressive when Dellucci is our best hitter. It is about time though that Wedge started doing some tinkering with the lineup.

And what the hell is up with Victors neck?

I think that a block of cheddar cheese would hit better than anyone the Indians could put into their lineup right now.

3 runs a game won't get it done, this team needs a power hitter like the 90's Indians needed a good starter.

Wedge is tinkering with this lineup and probably will soon realize that Dellucci should not be in the heart of the order.  What do you think the chance is that Casey Blake moves to the heart of the order because he has come up with some big hits lately?  I don't think it is a good idea, but I would not be surprised seeing how it is Dellucci batting 3rd right now.  Thank you starting pitching for carrying this lineup.  Go Tribe!
