	Jaromir Jagr said Tuesday that he would prefer to sign with the Rangers next season rather than with another NHL club and indicated that he wants to play two more years before returning to the Czech Republic. www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/rangers/ny-sprang 050… So now that it seems like Jagr wants to return the question is do the Rangers resign him. Given the line-up without him there is not a great scoring threat on the team. Gomez is a great playmaker but he would need someone to set up. So perhaps we will be seeing Jagr as a Ranger next season (after all they are opening the season in Prague).

	If Jagr only wants a 2 year deal, the they should re-sign him. He is still a playmaker and we need him. And if Jagr is back then it will be easier to re-sign Straka. Hopefully they can re-sign Shanahan to a low contract with performance boosters in it. Would like to see Sather make a run at Hossa. He and Gomez together will be exciting to watch.

	I think a similar incentive contract based on performance should be given to jagr. I don't mind paying for him if he is a scoring threat, but until the playoffs, no one can say thats what he was last year. Clearly not the same player that pushed Graves for the goal record on the Rangers just a couple seasons ago. I don't mind seeing Jagr is blue again next year, I just do mind using too much cap space on him. There are better players out there we could buy with Jagr type of money.
