"Also, cheating is  (paraphrasing here cuz I don't have dictionary in front of me) skirting the rules, using deception or breaking the rules to assist you IN THE GAME YOU ARE PLAYING IN"

- LOL... What a tard!  Being the pats have been cheating for years, is it not fair to say that the taping of the other teams signals helped them in future games?  Who's to say.  But trying to give your definition of cheating doesn't make that the correct definition.  When one cheats it's to gain an advantage.  It's not limited to the immediate game they are in.  Illegal spying IS cheating.  If it is against the rules and you still do it knowing it's against the rules, it's cheating.  BB is a coward and a punk for humiliating his franchise like this.  Other teams may or mat not do the same thing, but they didn't get caught.  What sucks is that the Pats are very good but to anyone who isn't a homer of the chowder, their accomplishments are tarnished and asterisked.  There is always the doubt in minds that the Pats couldn't have and wouldn't have had the success without cheating.  I won't apologize to any of the chowder heads who try and justify cheating.  Actually, you guys owe the rest of us fans an apology for cheering for cheaters.  For subjecting us fans of non-cheating teams to your cheating pats lies and corruption.  Anyone who can supports BB has lost all credibilty anyway.

THEY HAVE 8 TAPES!!!!! Those are just the one's Walsh had I can't imagine how many they destroyed? Your team is built on cheating! Your coach isn't a "mastermind" he's just a scumbag.

Could not have said it better myself.

What is funny is that people in New England say "get over it".  But they don't say that about Barry Bonds.  Cheating is cheating people.

Billy cheated on his wife, in football, and probably all through his life.

What is really sad is that he didn't have to.  That is what makes no sense.  He had a good team that could have competed and probably won most of those Super Bowls (besides 2002).  Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Get over it  18-1

Patriots will go down as one of the best football teams of all times regardless And Barry Bonds will go down as one of the greatest Home Run Hitters of all time

But he still cheated to get where he is and so did the Patriots

How is this different

Barry would have been a good hitter with out steroids and the Pats would have been a good team with out Cheating too

but would Barry have the Home Run Record or the Pats have all the Championships

I can not answer that question and neither can anyone on this board

Patriots Fans,

What is the point of seeking an apology?  For eighteen games in 2007 you rooted for the best team in football AND a team whose coach violated the rules so egregiously that the NFL levied an unprecedented punishment.  These are the facts, and this is your team, for good and ill.  No one can deny that your players collectively have accomplished more this decade than any other team.  And yet you cannot wipe away the ugly residue of a major cheating scandal simply because it would be convenient to do so.  You accuse others of "hating" your team, and I'm sure there are a lot of irrational people out there who do hate the Pats simply because of their success.  At the same time, however, are Pats fans who choose to bury their heads in the sand and ignore the cheating issue any more rational than the haters?  Belichick is a brilliant coach, but he is also very Nixonian in the sense that he didn't have to cheat in order to win, and still he was so intense and so paranoid that he cheated anyway.  This, Pats fans, is your team's legacy, whether you like it or not.

One last note, I saw someone say the Giants pushed the Pats all over the field in the SB (or something to that effect), thats just dumb

Don't think its dumb at all.  Its actually pretty accurate.  They WERE pushed all over the field.  If you actually watched the game, you would see that the D-Line literally pushed, killed, decimated (what-have-you) that O-line off the line all game.  Brady was sacked 6 times - a few a them pretty hard.  That doesn't account for all the hurries and knock downs that he endured.  The defense let one of the most prolific offenses score only 14 points after averaging over 35 pts per game.  They were ferocious that day.  The Pats really only had one play that worked  - those annoying 12 yard Brady to Welker pass/catch plays over the middle.  And that was really only in the 2nd half, when the D was tired.  Any defense would have trouble with that.  That was it.  They stuffed the running game, snuffed out the long pass, and got to Brady repeatedly.  I'd say that was pushing them all over the field.

how is it obvious

No one Thinks Barry Bonds could have hit all those home runs with out cheating either

and Maybe he could have

but no one will ever know b/c he cheated

and so did the PAts

how could you be mad that there is a posibility that it helped them win a game they would not have won with out cheating

like everyone thinks Barry would have hit less Home Runs

This is bull, the Boston Harold was wrong for saying the SuperBowl tapes were connected to Walsh but could very possible be connected to someone else who video taped it.

Appoligise? I dont know if you realized but they still cheated, just no evidence on if they cheated in the SuperBowl.
