Wow I cannot believe I just read this whole thread. Ok a few things. Yes the Pats cheated. Yes they paid for what they did. For those who think that it was a slap on the wrist I totally disagree. For the person who stated that it is in the rules that it is illegal to tape signals you are partially right, the fact is it is perfectly legal to tape signals but illegal to tape them from the sidelines which is what the Pats did. As far as the Pats getting an advantage during the games from reviewing the tapes at halftime I think that is almost impossible. The tapes were edited to show the signal then the resulting play. You cannot accomplish that in 15 mins.  Anyway the plain and simple facts are these, there are a ton of folks out there who will always hate the Pats and vice/versa and no amount of evidence or lack thereof is going to sway them. They are the idiot morons who refuse to look at anything with common sense.  As far as some fans owing BB an apology, nope I disagree. He made his bed now he reaps the rewards. That being said I am glad he is our coach. I just think it is shitty that the players get dumped on even though they had no involvement at all. One last note, I saw someone say the Giants pushed the Pats all over the field in the SB (or something to that effect), thats just dumb. It was a great game decided by two key plays at the end where Tyree and then Manning made great plays. The Pats should still be damn proud, they went 18-0 something no team has ever done and will stand as a record for a long time.

CBS:Former Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh sent the NFL eight videotapes, which he claims show New England violated league rules by recording opposing coaches' playcalling signals.

So basically he sent 8 tapes which have to have something on them. I am sure they are not blank and I am sure they are not porn.

The tapes sent to the NFL show the Patriots recorded signals in regular-season games against Miami, Buffalo, Cleveland and San Diego, and against Pittsburgh in the 2002 AFC Championship Game.

The Patriots and God only know what was on those tapes that were destroyed and the Patriots and God only know how many were covered up.

Bellicheck is a proven liar and a little crybaby when he ran off the field with a few seconds left during this year's Super Bowl.  What's sad is that the NFL has a great product, but the Patriots have smeared their own faces in the mud on this and have tarnished their dynasty forever in my eyes and everyone else's outside of New England.  Maybe if they didn't cheat, they would have beat the Giants this year.

lol

The apology will be coming soon when Billy has to apologize to the NFL. Again.

Pay up Bill.  Again.

Give me the 2 videotapes, one of the signal sent in by the defensive coordinator and the other of the game film, and I will be able to tell you what defensive play they are going to run every time the D-coordinator makes a certain jesture in 5 minutes.  If Tom Brady is half the QB all of you Patriots fans say he is then he should be able to call the right audible at the line to counteract the defensive play

You can do all this in the 40 seconds you get to call a play? You are truly a magician because all 30 teams in the league can't do it but you can? LOL. ok.

Let's say you could disseminate the 30 minutes of video at halftime for it to be useful during the game..what happens if the teams change their signals? what happens to the tape of the 3rd and 4th quarter? How does that tape get disseminated so that it is useful to the audience?

Again...You haters just don't get it! THE TAPE WAS USED FOR FUTURE GAMES NOT THE GAME THEY WERE PLAYING IN AND THAT'S NOT ILLEGAL! VIDEO TAPING FROM THE SIDELINES DURING THE GAME IS ILLEGAL AND THAT'S THE ONLY THING THE PATS ARE GUILTY OF AND WERE PUNISHED FOR. END OF STORY.

Also, cheating is  (paraphrasing here cuz I don't have dictionary in front of me) skirting the rules, using deception or breaking the rules to assist you IN THE GAME YOU ARE PLAYING IN...i.e. hiding cards in poker. Yes the Pats broke the rules but until someone tells me how it benefited them IN THE GAME THEY WERE PLAYING IN I will never call it cheating and I would say that if it was another team also. Yes I am a Pats fan but I can look at the game objectively and decide for myself what 'cheating' is. The Pats are guilty of a rules violation and illegal spying...not cheating. Deal with it!!!

Good luck getting the haters to appologize. I never let it bother me. They're just jealous of the Pats success.
