What player(s) do you think will help the Vols the most this coming season?

I feel that Dennis Rogan,Tauren Poole, and Daryl Vereen will be instrumental on special teams.Running backs coach Drayton is helping run the special teams, also helped at Fl with theirs and they had pretty good ones their.Other than that I feel this could be the break out year for UT to get back to being known as Wide Receiver U again. I am hoping against all hope that Warren and Williams will be key factors this year too.So many more to list, but you give the VOL nation your picks !! We can compare notes as the season goes on.

I think Crompton, we did not have a deep threat last year and the defenses would pull up the corners to shut down the 5-7 yard passing plays, we have got to be able to spread the field and move the ball with the long ball.  Crompton has the arm and the ability and the recievers have the speed on the outside which will open up the running game and make a complete offense.

There is a poll on the College Football Message Board asking whether UT means Texas or Tennessee. I think you all should go vote

It starts with Eric Berry. he is quite simply the biggest defensive playmaker I've seen in a long time. He is guaranteed at least two big plays a game. This secondary will be key to theVols success this year. My biggest concern is the lack of gamebreakers on offense. Yes, they have consistent productive players, but no difference makers.

I agree with you on yours.  Especially Gerald Williams-the guy was the Top JUCO linebacker last year and is a beast!  He is 6'5 and 245 pounds and runs the same 40 time as Jerod Mayo.  I believe he will be a starter at MLB before the year is done as Fulmer said he will play him there and not at end.  We will definitely need him and Ellix Wilson to plug up the run.  Here is my list:

1.  Eric Berry/Gerald Jones-they tie here because they will be on different sides of the ball and I believe both will make a huge difference

2.  Jonathan Crompton-this is his team and I believe he will be ready by Sept 1.

3.  Arian Foster-as long as he holds onto the ball he should be UT's All-Time Leading Rusher

4.  Front Seven-both sides of the ball-protection is great on offense, but they need to run block better.     On defense we look solid with D Bolden and Dan Williams, but depth needs to emerge in the fall quickly!

5.  Demetrice Morley, Dennis Rogan, Ahmad Paige, Gerald Williams, DeAngelo Willingham, Tauren Poole, Montario Hardesty, Quinton Hancock, Denarius Moore, Lennon Creer, Jeff Cottam, Luke Stocker, EJ Abrams-Ward, Lucas Taylor, etc. ----There are many players that you can put in this category that can push this team to the top of the nation and/or the BCS.  If 80% of these players play to their potential, then we will win the SEC East again.  If not, then who knows?

I think it's clear that Eric Berry is the best playmaker that we have on either side of the ball. That's gonna make everyone else in the secondary much better. Demetrice Morley will probably benefit the most. I also expect a big year from Rico McCoy. I hope that Demonte Bolden can actually live up to the potential this year. The player that I'm most eager to see is Ben Martin because I think he'll provide a pass rush that really hasn't been there since Parys Haralson was around.

On offense, Arian Foster will obviously be a big part, but I hope Lennon Creer sees more action. I'm also eager to see Brandon Warren out there. He was huge for FSU as a freshman, and I'm sure that he can do the same for us.

It starts and ends with Eric Berry Obviously if Jonathon Crompton is as good has he was in the OW game I can see us going Atlanta this fall
