Amani Toomer will become a free agent after this season do you think that the Giants will let him walk after this season? The drafting of Mario Manningham and the undrafted free agents on the roster from last/this year may make you wanna think that they may let him walk. I would really hate to see that happen beccause i think he still has a couple of good years left in him. Something to think about only if he doen't sign an extension before seasons' end.

I doubt he will go to any other team. I think they'll go on a 1-year contract and he'll retire after the 2009 season. He's a good WR, but how much gas does he have left in the tank?

I think the Giants are preparing for his departure/retirement with the additions they have made. It will be interesting to see which WRs make the team. If it seems like a lot, then I would assume the Giants won't pursue Toomer, although I would. I agree he should have a few more good years left in him. I don't think he'll be signing an extension before the years end.

I think Amani either retires after next year, or sticks around with the Giants at a reduced price.. I dont think there's going to be a market for him to get a big contract at his age, and the Giants are pretty well loaded with WR talent at this point.

I do agree, the Giants will not let Toomer walk away. Personally I think he retires after this year, and if not the Giants Organization being the class act they are will let him play as long as he can contribute. He will retire a Giants as will Strahan.

Both Toomer and Strahan have obtained the ultimate reward for their sacrifice, a "Super Bowl" ring. It would really interesting though if can repeat this year, will they return for a chance to be a " Three Peater",only time will tell.

Toomer and Strahan should be up there with the elite Giants class, and thus those two numbers should never be worn again.

Strahan needs to hock that ring and get to a dentist to fix that broken a$$ gap in his damn teeth....i think by far he is the most overly hyped defense player.....and there is no way that the Giants are going to repeat this year and definately not going to be a (three peater) as you so lovely expressed....granted you did win last year....which was nice but i am sorry to be the one to break it to you....i am not going to call it a fluke but...you guys still suck

How surprising.. a Cowboys fan.

You're wrong.  Roy Williams is the most overhyped defensive player. I'll take Strahan over anyone on the Cowboys defense any day.

well first off, i expect Steve Smith to win the starting job away from toomer opposite burress this year. with that said, i think hell be a decent slot player this year, but i think it will be his last. hes getting up there in the years, and dont forget hes only a year or so removed from the 2nd reconstructive knee surgery of his carreer, so you have to wonder how long that wil hold up. I think hell retire on his own after this year, and if he doesnt i expect the Giants to sign him to around the leage minimum for a year maybe two, since theyre a class organization, so that he can retire as a giant

Oh Roy Williams....he can't even cover a blocking tight end.

But I guess Michael Strahan, a guy with over 100 career sacks and the single season sack record, isn't very good. Not to mention his run support is widely recognized as being the strongest among the premier pass rushers.

Yeah...Strahan sucks.

I'm sure there won't be a repeat, because the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl. Right? I mean, they were supposed to be there last year...so this year when they're going for their first playoff victory over a decade they're certainly not going to disappoint. I mean that would be far to characteristic of the most over-hyped, underachieving team in the NFL last year.
