no tears or structural damage.

The Braves finally got some good medical news Wednesday when an MRI and bone scan of closer Rafael Soriano's right elbow showed no tears or other structural damage.

He will continue his bullpen throwing sessions for a couple more days and then probably begin a rehab assignment. No timetable is set for his return due to his being on the disabled list for a month now.

Finally!  That's great news.  With John Smoltz heading back into the bullpen to be the closer, it looks like Rafael will slide back into the setup role.  With Mike Gonzalez expected back before the break, our 7-8-9 looks pretty formitable.  Hopefully, they will help us lock down these one run games from here on out.
