With the commitment by Tyree Evans...

What's with all the JUCO's....this started out well with Francis and Randall but, it seems like it's such a large part of how Wiliams fills the team now?

Does Gary only want 4 year players? Did losing Francis and Wilcox sour him on the blue chip guys? It looks like having players play their senior year is a big plus in the new NCAA  APR scores.

Please tell me a program like MD isn't left to JUCO's or afraid to recruit the best players because they may leave early...

Does anyone else feel like the process to fill the roster seems below  Md's pedigree?

Definitely seems like we are stretching or just can't get the "blue chips".  News out today is that Evans might not get admitted due to some criminal issues within the past year.  The guy might be a great player and hopefully can shape up, but does MD need more issues with off the court stuff?  I think we have seen enough of that the past few years.

I'd say the success of Randal, Francis, Jamar Smith and Boom have paved the way to this kind of recruiting.  It's hard to argue with the types of players those guys were.

Parrish Brown and Sterling Ledbetter seem to be the exceptions to the rule and it's hard to know what kind of impact the car crash had on Ledbetter.

Of course, all recruiting is dependent on support from an Athletic Director who gives a damn about the program.  Right now we don't have that.
