Lute Olson does have a lot of work ahead of him, but anyone who has been around the program during his tenure should know that he has already been through much worse and still put elite basketball teams on the floor. When Bobbi Olson was fighting cancer, Lute was there for her and his team. Many of the players from those years said it brought them closer as a group and Olson said his players lifted him up too.

Further, Lute has demonstrated that he knows how much he can handle and what he can't. That's why he took the leave of absence last season. If he wasn't ready for all of this, he would have called it a career. Instead, I expect him to be fired up for the basketball part, which will be a release from the divorce court mess.

Lute built an elite program at the University of Arizona from ashes. Remember that they won all of four (4) games the season before he arrived in Tucson. And it's not like the program has fallen apart while he's been on the sideline. He absolutely deserves the respect of the fans and the administration in leading the Wildcats.

Olson hasn't been able to "handle" it for some time.   From trying to start a fist fight at practice with Chris Rodgers to  being unable to remember reporters questions and reply in rambling fashion to questions not asked.

Just how is it he gets a fully paid leave of absence for medical reasons, but says he has no medical problems?   That folks, is a fraud on the people of the State of Arizona.   And, no , the President of the School does not have the right to overturn the or make exceptions.

Aside from that fraud, he as also tried to defraud his ex-wife-to-be by defying a court order freezing funds in a joint account (*yes half belongs to her as '"sweat of the brow earnings during the marriage") by removing the  money and putting it soley in his name where she can't touch it.

Time for the court to assign a conservator.   Will Lute attack a ref on the court his season, or just continue to try to imtimidate them as usual?    Take your coat off Lute, turn beet red and slam it to the  court while your head trembles and your players ignore you and play selfish ball.
