Of course, you're right.
I call Minaya on the phone whenever Delgado strikes out with2 out & a runner on 2nd and say, "boo!"
I think It's finally starting to get to Omar.

My major complaint and I think most Mets fans major complaint is the look and feel of apathy when watching our Metropolitans leave another runner on base. This all goes back to our luke warm manager who runs neither hot nor cold at any time. This team is filled with enough laid back individuals that our manager's seemingly indifferent attitude has lead to a team that rarely looks like they care about their performance and whether they win or lose. This is what annoys all mets fans imo. There is no fire and no excitement on the field and it seems most of the players are currently just going through the motions. The fans see this and then hear Willie say the same garbage about "He's my guy and thats the spot for him" or " I think he is starting to turn it around" or " I think we are going to be OK, I saw some progress out there today" gets so old because it basically is saying nothing.

Your a Braves fan... What if...The highest batting Average in ur lineup was .314, that ur 3,4,5,6 hitters had a combined avg of .235... 12 Homeruns and 56 RBI's? Had a huge Payroll which made you paid more for seats. And had a huge collapse last year? Im sure people in Atl would be boing too...after all you guys were booing A. Jones last year

the boos for drew were few and far between. i wouldn';t say as a fan base we were booing him. no way can you compare it to what Mets fans do.
you say your manager is too laid back, but is any mlb manager aside from one or two really that intense. joe torre one of the most successful managers in the game ,i don't think even looks at the players in the dugout during the game. by looking at him you wouldn't know if the Dodgers were up 10 or down 10.
when wright strike's out with a bunch of runners on and has a chance to blow the game wide open early, like last night, what do you want willie to do?

and someone said that they feel the Mets are just going through the motions without caring. i watch most of their games and i don't see that at all. i see a team that is not playing particularly well and still winning. scrapping to get wins despite poor hitting. take the last game of the arizona series, they hit poor but still mangaged to get runs and ended up putting themselves in a position to win.

Maybe ur right and the team is playing at a higher level than we..The Mets fans and NY public see. Because your looking at it from the eyes of someone thats not living in NY or a Mets fan. Then again if the shoes were on the other foot u might think differently. You cant tell me there wasnt any frustration from Braves fans in '06, after you won the division 14 straight times.

? Plenty of people have been "boo-ing" Omar in their own way since last year. I mean, its not like you can express it on the field, he's not a player or the manager so its not that easy to express it publicly. But listen to WFAN any time they're talking baseball and the Mets in particular, you'll find more than a few calls getting on Omar as well.
Its not like Mets fans are picking and choosing who the place the blame on. Yeah, there are a couple guys who hear it more than most, like Delgado, but other than David Wright and the guys who weren't on the roster last year like Church, I can't think of anyone on that team who hasn't heard it from us this year, from Omar all the way down to the bullpen pitchers and bench players.

cuseman, I pay the Mets with my time, hard earned money and devotion. How many millions is Delgado making this season? That's why I boo. In those boo's i'm acknowledging Minaya's choices as well as the managerial decisions to continously play Delgado.
Being a fan, I have the responsibility of cheering when my team does good and criticizing them when they don't. I will not reward bad behavior, just like when a puppy pisses on the floor. By anyone suggesting I am less of a fan because I strive for my team's greatness, that is useless nonsense. We are Mets fans. We are not Yankee fans with 26 championships or Braves fans with 14 straight years of division titles.
