I would love to see him in a leaf jersey, but I think in order for that to happen, they would have to let go of Sundin or have him sign for a major pay cut.  That said, I'm not sure whether Sundin will be so accommodating as he refused to be traded mid-season.  That could mean one of two things: 1. he really wants to stay with the leafs, or 2. he knows the leafs are willing to overpay him and he wants to land himself another big contract this offseason.  I'm hoping for the former

Oh I would not want to see that at all. He is so soft. I think the Toronto money could be spent in much better ways. He didn't show much heart against the Penguins. I think its a waste to pay him an incredible amount of money for an over the hill player. He still has talent yes. I think we can do better though.

Obviously there's a price at which he would be a good fit for the Leafs - but that's true for every team.  The question is, should the Leafs be willing to pay more than the rest of the league?  At this point in Jagr's career, the team that would be willing to pay the most is probably a team that needs a marquee name in order to market themselves - like an Atlanta or Nashville.  So unless Jagr is willing to accept less to go to Toronto (which seems unlikely), I doubt this will happen.

Here is another point:

With the amount of youth on the team (finally) do you really want Jagr here?

He has had many problems with work ethic in the past and do you really want your building blocks to emulate that?
