	Just an idea I am throwing out there. I know middle relief is different conditioning than starter or closer, but Matt Herges seems to one of our most solid pitchers, and maybe he could give us what we need as either a closer or a starter.

	Well right now he's the damage control guy on nights when we don't get quality starts from guys like Jimenez. It's important to have a guy who can come in and go 3 or so innings.

	I think Herges is fine where he is at. There is another starter out there without a job and that is Jeff Weaver. You know the Rockies are onto those things and if he were worth it I'm sure they would take look at him.

	I realized not too long after I posted a big problem with that, like Iknow said, move Herges and suddenly we don't have a real dependable middle reliever anymore.

	move Herges and suddenly we don't have a real dependable middle reliever anymore. If we don't do something about the starting pitching (besides Cook & Francis), middle relief won't make much of a difference.
