This site rocks. You get a free starting balance to bet on any games. If you work it up to $10 or more, you can cash it out and get a check in the mail. There are no catches and NO DEPOSITING is even allowed on the site. If you lose your first bet, you don't even go to zero balance. They give you your starting kitty over and over again. This is a lot of fun for any sports fan. I am on there everyday, since it is on the top of my fave sites list now. Full Q & A for skeptics, but I'm telling you 1st hand, this is legit A-one stuff. Click the link below to check it out.

Here is a little something that we can ponder in the coming months. Win or lose, the Diamondbacks will be making some personnel moves this winter. Below is a list of potential free agents and arbitration eligible players. I've listed the salaries of many of the already signed players for next year. I'm not making any predictions here - it is just a list.

The Arizona Diamondbacks salary was a little over $66,000,000 for 2008. It will probably need to increase for 2009.

Free agents: Johnson, Hudson, Dunn, Cruz, Lyon

Arbitration Eligible: Snyder, Qualls, Jackson, Ojeda, Burke. (This is not take it or leave it. Team proposes a salary, player counter offers, and then they either come to an agreement - or an arbitrator picks one or the other salary)

Signed for next year:

Dan Haren $5.5mil

Jon Rauch 2.0 mil

Mark Reynolds .5mil (approx)

Justin Upton 1.3

Brandon Webb 6.5

Chris B. Young 1.75

Eric Byrnes 11.0

Chad Tracy 4.75

Doug Davis 8.25

Stephen Drew 1.5

Total ($43.05 mil)

Free Agents and their 2008 salary

Adam Dunn $13.0mil

Randy Johnson 15.0

Juan Cruz 1.9

Brandon Lyon 3.1

Orlando Hudson 6.25

Arbitration Eligible (2008 salary)

Chris Snyder $1.85

Augie Ojeda .5

Chad Qualls 1.3

Chris Burke .9

Conor Jackson .5 (approx)

(Expect Snyder and Jackson to get large pay increase)

Slaten, Montero, E. Gonzalez, Scherzer, Romero, Salazar. Petit, Pena, Rosales

are all still under D'Back control and will make somewhere around $500,000 next year if with the team.

Could the D'Backs afford Adam Dunn? With a slight increase in team salary, and some releases and trades - probably.
