I can't believe the season is over too early again.

It was very disappointing to lose in the second round again only to hang another division championship banner.  Next season is a long time away, but the Sharks will return next year hungrier for the cup.  Hopefully they can keep the core together signing Clowe, Pavelski, and Campbell to extended contracts among others.  I love the group of guys this year and don't want anyone to leave.  What ever happened to Jody Shelley in the Stars series?  Roenick should also return and I hope he finally gets his cup next year.  Everything felt right this year, but the STARS just didn't align in our favor.

I'm right there with ya man. But at the same time, I can't fault my team for not giving everything they possibly had. They gave all of it and more. It's a shame we had to lose it during a power play which we hadn't had to kill off in more than three periods. The players were already drained enough as it was and then they went down a man, but that sort of thing happens in a four overtime game. Can't really fault Campbell for taking that penalty.

I think that the way the Sharks fought their way back in this series has earned Wilson the right to come back next year. I think it would just set the team back to have to get accustomed to a new coach. That's not necessarily the way management is going to see it in the wake of a third straight second round defeat. I guess we'll see what happens.

I hope Milan Michalek is alright. I wish we could've had him out there during the extra periods. You never know what difference he could've made. I really hope that they let Craig Rivet go. And I really, really hope JR stays around for one more season. I think he's still got something left to give and I know he wants a cup more than anyone.

I've exchanged a lot of bitter words with Stars fans and Dallas is definitely one of the Sharks top rivals. But the Stars have definitely earned my respect and I tip my cap to the amazing amount of effort put forth on the ice tonight. That was an incredible game to watch. Evgeni Nabokov's save should be one of the top ten plays of the year.

It stinks the Sharks are done, but man what a great game. I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out. Too bad, but as a long time Sharks fan, what a great set of Stanley Cup series to watch, almost two 7 gamers, so dramatic! Next year is gonna be sweet!

Even though they lost last night, I'm very proud of how they played. They game turned into an ESPN classic Nabokov vs. Turco. Wow it was a great game even though we just couldn't get that winning goal.

I really hope we resign J.R.! It sure will be an interesting off-season!

My son told me before the game started that there would be a penaly call, and the Sharks would lose because of it. For such a great game, it is too bad and sad that it was decided on a penaly kill. Not the last penalty called by the referees, but ALL the calls they failed to make throughout the game that made the one call they did make so painful. The Sharks had an awful time killing any penalties throughout the playoffs and that will stand as one of the reasons they will not be facing the Red Wings. I pick Detroit in 5 games to face Pittsburgh for the Stanley Cup now. I did believe that the Sharks were the only team that stood a 50-50 chance against Detroit, and could have disposed of  the Penguins relatively easy.

As for next season, here is the list of good-byes: Kyle McLaren, Brian Marshall, Patrick Rissmiller, Curtis Brown,, and Brian Boucher. Hopefully J.R. will be back. If the Sharks could convince Marshall that the West Coast was the place for him and his family, then the Sharks would part with Craig Rivet. I would love to see Tom Priessing come back. We do not have a strong group of defensemen on the AHL team, so we will have to get better other ways. If we can hold the team together for one more year I give us a 85% chance of winning it all next year.

Get well Sharks. Enjoy the summer, and Thanks for a GREAT season.

Don't cry.  The Sharks played well down the stretch.  They need to add a sniper if they are ever going to go deep into the playoffs.  They lost 3 overtime games.  Had they had 1 more offensive horse in any of those games, they would still be playing.  I hope that they can keep Brian Campbell.

I think you mean Brian Campbell. You keep saying Marshall but the Sharks don't have a Brian Marshall on their team. As for your list of guys that could be gone I tend to agree with you there. It'd be interesting to see if the Sharks wind up keeping Boucher because of how well he did as a backup in his limited work. I'd actually like to see the Sharks retain Kyle McLaren (provided he's healthy) and boot out Craig Rivet. He had an awful postseason and was consistently out of position and off balance. Hopefully Matt Carle develops a little more and we can go with Campbell, Murray, Ehrhoff, Carle, Vlasic and McLaren as our defensemen.

I was disappointed that Devin Setoguchi did not get to play last night as I think he may have provided a little more offense that his replacement in Pat Rissmiller, and even more so after Milan Michalek went out with his injury.

Ooops! Where did Brian Marshall come from. Somebody I knew from my recent past.

Yes I did mean Brian Campbell, and it would be nice to keep him, but it is hard to get veteran NHL players to uproot their families to become Californians.

In the off season Cheechoo and Pavelski need to work on their skating abilities. They spend way to much time falling down on the ice, and now referees have caught on to the fact that they cannot skate and are no longer calling penalties because they are constantly on the ice.

I am looking to a full season of Devon Setoguchi next year.
