Why weren't the Lakers able to come out victorious? There are three big reasons:

1.  Kobe Bryant was hurting throughout the game and couldn't play his style, thus leading to poor shot selection.

2.  The Lakers bench didn't produce points.

3.  The home crowd helped Deron Williams push him and his team to a big game 4 win.

raidernation you hit it on right on the head man. The refs called the game so tight when the Lakers was playing D but when Utah was playing D they wasnt calling it as tight. Soon as a Laker put a fingernail on a Jazz they called it a foul I hate seeing games called like this. Then when they come back to LA all the calls going to go the lakers way most likely.

Oh yea one more thing that wasnt a flagrant 2 on turiaf. The guy price it the floor hard so it look much worse than it really was. Turiaf was going for the ball that was a playoff foul the most it should have been was a flagrant 1. I expect the NBA to rescind the flagrant 2 and change it to a flagrant 1.

3.  The home crowd helped Deron Williams push him and his team to a big game 4 win.The next step for the Jazz is to learn how to do that on the road.  Fisher's leadership helped Utah do that last season obviously.

Three reasons the Lakers win game 5:
1. Lakers are at home
2. The Jazz had every chance in the world & needed OT to win on their home floor.
3. Phil Jackson just complained about the officiating after Game 5.

Jazz need a 40 point game from Williams or Boozer to stay close in Game 5 I believe.
