There are people in this world that seriously have nothing better to do than spend all their time on a SPORTS message board pissing and moaning about innocent animals. Exactly ANIMALS not HUMANS who really cares. Read for me about Darwin "survival of the fittest". It the wild animals brutally destroy each other, are you out there protecting the defenseless rodents that are murdered by Eagles. Oh and last but not least do eat animals of any kind, or are you a vegetarian to. Do have any products made of any animals shoes, belts, etc. I am not for beating on defensless animals but not letting them suffer I am all for so GET OVER IT!!!!

smouthrubs23.........None of those like you ever answer any questions....such as what have you ever done?  and if indeed you "love animals including humans you have a weird manner of showing it, ie attacking me......and re your resume I unlike you was not asking for it.....and would in all probability not be the least bit impressed.

Re my being different than the rest of you who attack me - the answer is indeed a resounding yes! - I am mature and caring about more than merely family or my friends......I do not narrow my compassion merely to those I know.....but you can continue to spew forth as if you are a psychiatrist....you never responded to my asking where you got your degree or where you practice!....and a professional would not be handing out an opinion based on posts on the internet.

And re you actually "hitting a little close to home" - do not pat yourself on the back or give yourself any credit.....I only feel pity for your inability to understand where I am coming from.  Pick on another female cause I do not want to waste my time trying to elevate your consciousness nor any of your friends on this thread.

Horsey Heaven is great. I am Training with Barbaro as we speak. We got chased by a couple pit bulls,  but otherwise all is good here.

For those that for whatever reason believe these horses are being punished or abused, I challenge you to visit my beautiful state of KY and fly over Lexington and the surrounding areas. I would be willing to bet (because obviously thats all that we do) that 99.9% of the people on this message board would be jealous of the living quarters that these animals are kept. Race horses like Eight Belles do not live in barns out in the back farm, these horses have the ULTIMATE healthcare, attention, training, and living conditions.

This is a multi-billion dollar industry, and ownership and top trainer staus/recognition do not come cheap. The best trainers with the best facilities get to train the best horses. These multi-million dollar animals are pushed to be great runners but the accomodations are as plush as anyone could imagine.
