"Scott Cacciatore will now speak on this matter....you have a uneducated view of this subject. First of all every trainer and owner LOVES their horses and would never do anything to hurt them..especially when it comes to horses good enough to run in the Kentucky Derby...you speak when you know nothing. These are horsemen that spend their lives tending to horses..I think they know best. Also, horses are born to run..they run everyday whether they are on a racetrack or now..these are thoroughbreds...they have to be taken out to run on a daily basis...yes occasionaly something tragic happens like today but thousands of races go off without any injury to any horse....by running these horses we arent abusing them...they love to run...your lost in space buddy. Actually in the history of horse racing today was the first time that a horse actually b roke both its front legs during or after a race...the FIRST time ever...its just a tragic circumstance...but things like this happens in life..to animals..to humans..everyday...its only blown out of proporation because it happens on such a big stage. When a race car driver dies during a race do you say we should close down the sport?? when an airplane crashes do you say we should stop all flights? when someone dies in a car accident do you say noone should drive anymore?? your generalized uneducated statements are not impressive...try a little harder next time..i think you can do better"
VERY VERY VERY well said Scott. People who do not have lives try to intervene in everybody elses!
