Knicks should look into avery johnson as the new coach.  he will instill the defensive mentality we need and is a proven good coach.

I agree. What thre Knicks need right now is to establish a new identity. Then they can start to establish a winning attitude and start to transform into a playoff team. If they can become more defensive minded it will help them to become a winning team faster. Whether or not htere is something lacking in Avery Johnson that kept the mavs from being successful in the playoffs is beside the point. As a Knick fan I would be extremely happy if we could make the postseason with the same regularity that Dallas did.

I hear you guy's but just in case Mr. Walsh doesn't pick Jax because of experience purposes then you have to look at the fact that Avery Johnson is a viable choice, but going one step further this team can get together a solid coaching staff and hire a solid head coach and then get two solid candidates for defense and offense there are too many coaching jobs and not enough top candidate coaches so should one of them be left out then why not team up and bring this Franchise back to respectability. Thats just my opinion.
