Not only is this a double standard being set but this just adds fuel to the conspiracy theorist out there. Garnett should have been suspended one game for pushing the ref. Both Kendrick Perkins and Marvin Williams should be suspended one game for leaving the bench area. But doing the right thing would've put Boston on the brink (they would lose game five w/o KG & Perkins). Phoenix has every right to feel slighted by this lack of discipline. And to top everything off, Stern was at the game. The NBA wants a Lakers-Celtics final so bad.

This is the reason why I hardly ever post with NBA fans, they have no concept of give and take, How about a head but, wouldn't that warrant a suspension. You much like the NBA Officials need to open your eyes to what these refs are doing to this game. They are allowing Atlanta to play street ball with no consequences. Head buts running over players, tackling players, and yet the refs won't blow there friggin whistles, oh wait unless the Atlanta/Detriot/Dallas/Phoenix flop artists throw themselves to the floor. It is an absolute joke and for you to come out with your post, I couldn't keep it shut anymore. The League lets these lesser teams such as Atlanta and Philly come in and play scum bag basketball looking to cause injury or a suspention. Hell they have nothing to lose. I have no problem with no suspensions bring issued. Pay attention to the game if you are going to comment on it.

Hold up. I agree with you that the head butt should also be looked at, but that doesn't make the original post invalid. I thought we cleared this up last year with the Suns when Stern said "them are the rules!". Well now a year later and it's a 180? What this says to me is that Stern thought he messed up last year, and I'd be pretty unhappy if I were the Suns. (They should be unhappy anyway after getting rolled by the Spurs. I used to be a huge Spurs fan but now I find them so...unlikeable. They're just blah, characterless or something)
Back to the subject. Unless they changed the rules (I don't pretend to have a copy of the rules handy), then something somewhere isn't right. I don't see your isea that the lesser teams are scum bags and trying to injure. I haven't seen that at all. They certainly have to play a different style because they can't match the raw talent. If just wanting it more is illegal, then we should just hand your Celtics the trophy now and all go home. I'm a Detroit fan, but I admit that Philly simply was trying harder and took a couple games. It's not as obvious in Boston, but they could be reading their own hype stories. If there were suspensions it would have sent some real shockwaves and I think Stern didn't have the guts to stick to the rules AGAIN after all the stuff last year.
That's just how it looks to me.

Garnette did not intentionally push an official. The official came from the side and grabbed him, how is Garnette suppose to know who was holding onto his arm. I can also understand why he was pissed, za za or whatever they call him grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him from behind out of the lane, no call. Garnette swats his his arm away and that scrub is going to run over head but him and talk crap. The Hawks have basically turned this series into street ball and shame on the Celtics for not beating them in game 4 which they should have if Pierce shoots 70% from the line.
I personally think the celtics have been extremely composed, maybe too composed because if it was me I would have thought about having one of my bench guys send a message the same way the hawks have been doing since the series started.

HAHAHAHAHAHA you seriously think Kevin Garnett shouldn't be suspended for throwing an elbow meant for Zaza's neck. Then Garnett shoved the ref out of his way. You just think the Hawks are playing dirty b/c your looking for an excuse for your no shows.

RILawman,
ARE YOU SERIOUS? Do you really want Zaza just to take spit from K.G. just b/c he is a better player and a premodona? I don't know what series you are watching, but I have only see one dirty play and that was K.G. going after Zaza's neck. I guess K.G. must not like getting beat on the boards by a back up center.

Try watching the whole game, not just the highlights on your TV, well let me break it down to you, there have been 4 obvious goaltending violations on the Hawks (which were never called) obvious meaning, the ball had hit the backboard and then swatted away by a Hawks player. Another point, Rondo getting tackled TWICE in Mondays game with no foul called. Three second violations called with Perkins standing at the freethrow line. Atlanta is full of nothing but street trash scum bags, who blindly support dogfighting Vick and Hawks fans that haven't sold out a home game in maybe 25 years. But now you want to come trash, lets see if you are still on here next week.
As for you Pistons fan, I think this will be the first time I say this, I do agree with you that Philly may not be at the same scum level as Atlanta (bring it to street ball) I appreciate your response and I guess I can have a give and take with a Pistons fan go figure, The Celtics have let the guard down alittle and it cost them two games. Good Luck with Philly, I really hope we get to see Detriot come to Boston (I have tickets already 4 games)

Ny blah blah blah,
I did watch the whole game my friend. Maybe they broadcast a different game in the biased media areas of new york and boston, but i don't know. The game I was watching in Atlanta never had Rondo getting tackled. It also didn't have 4 goaltends. For the final comment, Michael Vick's hometown is a place called Virginia. Thats where he learned all his dog fighting shit not in Atlanta. Another thing last time I checked Vick is a football player and we are talking about how K.G. a basketball player should have obviously gotten suspended. You are like all Boston and New York fans you always look to the past try looking to the present once in a while.
